R is a statistical package for data analysis. It has
many built-in functions for plotting, fitting a straight line
through a set of points, matrix manipulation etcetera. In these
exercises, the
R code will be generated automatically
from the html pages, and
R output is returned to the
browser (e.g. netscape) as figures, tables or text fields that
can be edited.
